The La Dalia Story
“Our mission isnβt for vanity metricsβlike saying we do good so more people buy our coffee. Itβs deeply rooted in family legacy. A legacy of hard work and heartbreaking loss.
We actually lost the farm years ago, because our family couldnβt make money from the coffee we grew. We watched in mute frustration as the coffee we grew and sold to middlemen for just a few dollars per pound, went on to sell for seven, or eight times that to the Big Guys.
So when we had the chance to buy back the farm and take back control of our communityβs futureβ¦
We did.”
The CCBxLDC Partnership
When CCB’s founder, Daniel Vasquez, wanted to start this business, he wasn’t sure exactly who to talk to until he was introduced to Ernesto. One of the CCB partners (Sean), had already known Ernesto and about his family’s coffee business, and put him in touch with Daniel.
From there, CCB hit the ground running and began selling La Dalia’s fresh roasted, Nicaraguan coffee online. Over time, we transitioned to La Dalia being our primary coffee source for all catering service, and the rest is history!
