Service Terms

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of services provided by Coffee Cart Boys (“we”, “us”, “CCB”), including event-catering coffee service, the marketing site at coffeecartboys.com, and the online ordering experience at order.coffeecartboys.com.

By booking an event with us, placing an order through our ordering app, or paying us for a drink, you agree to these Terms.

What we do

CCB provides specialty-coffee catering at private and corporate events in the Los Angeles area. We arrive with a coffee cart, baristas, and equipment; we prepare drinks for your guests; and we leave the venue as we found it.

Some events are billed as catering packages (your company or host pays us a flat fee, guests order freely with no card surface). Others are billed by the cup (your guests pay individually through Stripe Checkout for each drink they order). The model is specified in your booking.

Booking an event

Event bookings are confirmed when:

  1. You sign our service agreement (sent by us via HoneyBook), and
  2. You pay the deposit listed on that agreement.

If either step is missing on the date listed on the agreement, the booking is not confirmed and we are not obligated to staff the event.

We reserve the right to decline a booking for any lawful reason, including but not limited to scheduling conflicts, venue suitability, or payment concerns.

Per-cup payments

For “by the cup” events, individual drink charges are processed by Stripe, our payment processor. By paying, you agree to Stripe’s terms (stripe.com/legal). We never see or store your card number.

  • All prices are shown in U.S. dollars at the time of order.
  • Sales tax is calculated based on the event location and shown before you confirm payment.
  • We do not charge a gratuity automatically. Tips, if any, are added by you during checkout.

Refunds for per-cup payments

If your drink is made incorrectly and you tell a barista at the cart, we’ll remake it at no charge. If you’d prefer a refund, ask the lead barista — they can issue one on the spot through our system.

For after-the-fact refund requests, email us within 7 days of the event at team@coffeecartboys.com with the order number from your Stripe receipt. We refund in full for: drinks that were ordered but never delivered, drinks that were billed twice, and drinks that were objectively wrong (e.g., decaf ordered, regular served). We do not refund for: change of mind, taste preferences, or drinks that were consumed before the request.

Refunds, when issued, are returned to the original card and typically appear within 5–10 business days.

Refunds for catering packages

Catering-package events follow the cancellation and refund schedule in your signed service agreement. Those terms take precedence over anything in this section.

SMS and email communications

When you provide your phone number while placing an order, you consent to receive one transactional SMS per drink notifying you that your drink is ready at the cart. Reply STOP to opt out (you’ll then need to check the cart visually). Message and data rates may apply.

When you provide your email address through Stripe Checkout, you’ll receive a receipt for that transaction. We do not add you to a marketing list without your explicit opt-in.

Use of our ordering app

The online ordering app is provided as a convenience for guests at our events. You agree not to:

  • Submit orders you do not intend to pay for (per-cup events) or pick up (catering events)
  • Attempt to disrupt the ordering system (e.g., automated bots, denial-of-service attacks)
  • Use the system for any purpose other than ordering drinks at the active event

We may suspend access to the ordering link for any event if these terms are violated.

Allergies and dietary restrictions

Our drinks may contain or come into contact with: dairy, soy, oat, nuts (almond, hazelnut), wheat (from some flavored syrups), and trace caffeine in decaf drinks. Tell a barista about any allergy before ordering. We make every reasonable effort to accommodate but cannot guarantee an allergen-free environment in a shared coffee cart.

Limitation of liability

Our maximum total liability to you for any claim arising out of these Terms or our service is the amount you paid us (or that your event host paid us) for the relevant event. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages.

Nothing in these Terms limits our liability for fraud, gross negligence, or anything else that cannot be limited under California law.

Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California. Any dispute will be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Los Angeles County.

Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we’ll bump the “Last updated” date at the top. Continued use of our services after a change constitutes acceptance.
