You’re deep into a production schedule. Call times are early, days are long, and the energy on set directly affects the quality of the work. Craft services isn’t a perk — it’s infrastructure. And the coffee on most craft services tables is exactly what it looks like: a Mr. Coffee drip pot from 5 AM, a Keurig with three flavors of pod, and a stack of paper cups. It works. It’s also the easiest part of the day to upgrade.
We’re Coffee Cart Boys, and we provide specialty coffee craft services for TV productions, film sets, commercial shoots, and music videos across Southern California. Some of our team comes from entertainment backgrounds, so we don’t just understand catering — we understand production culture, the pace of a set, and what it means to be a vendor who doesn’t create problems.
We Know How Sets Work
Production schedules change. Locations move. Lunch gets pushed. We get it, and we’re built for it.
Agile Setup That Moves With Production
Our mobile setup is agile by design — we can relocate quickly, adjust service windows on the fly, and stay out of whatever’s happening around us. We’re not going to ask your AD where to plug in three times. We figure it out, set up efficiently, and start pouring. On a set, a vendor who needs constant guidance is a liability, not an asset.
Volume That Keeps Pace With Your Crew
We serve upwards of 50 cups per hour, which means your crew isn’t standing in line during a turnaround. Speed matters on set, and we match it without cutting corners on quality. Every drink is made to order by a real barista — not pre-brewed and sitting in a carafe since 5 AM. That distinction matters when a department is mid-setup and needs to move in twenty minutes.
Better Than the Pod Machine on the Craft Table
Let’s be direct: the standard craft services coffee setup on most sets is a Keurig and a thermos. Your crew deserves better, and honestly, better coffee leads to better mornings, better afternoons, and fewer PAs walking five blocks to Blue Bottle for talent. A real espresso bar is a small line item that visibly lifts a 14-hour day.
The Full Craft Services Menu
We cover every preference on your crew with a menu built for all-day service on demanding schedules.
Hot Drinks
Specialty hot drip coffee (regular and decaf), the full espresso menu — lattes, cappuccinos, cortados, flat whites, Americanos — and our cascara coffee cherry tea, a naturally low-caffeine alternative packed with antioxidants that’s genuinely different from anything else on a craft table.
Cold Drinks and Alternatives
Nitro cold brew on tap, iced espresso drinks, and non-dairy milk options including oat and almond. Sugar-free sweeteners and a range of flavor add-ins included as standard.
Food and Pastries
Gourmet pastries to pair with beverage service. We can discuss food add-ons during booking based on your crew size and shoot duration.
Flexible Scheduling, Reliable Communication
The number one thing production teams need from any vendor is reliability paired with flexibility. We show up when we say we will, we communicate proactively if anything changes on our end, and we roll with it when things change on yours.
Early Call Times and Extended Shoots
Need us there at a 5 AM call time? We’re there. Shoot running three hours over? We’ll stay. Location shifting from Burbank to a Santa Clarita exterior? Just give us a heads-up and we’ll adjust.
Clear Communication From Booking to Wrap
We communicate clearly with your production team throughout. No chasing us down for answers, no vague timelines. You’ll know exactly what we’re bringing, when we’re arriving, and what we need from you — which is just a standard power outlet and about an 8×10-foot space.
Insurance, Permits, and Production Compliance
Full commercial liability insurance, health department certification, ServSafe-trained staff. All necessary permits are included.
Vendor Onboarding and Documentation
Documentation is available upfront for your production’s compliance requirements. If your studio has a vendor onboarding process, we’re used to it. Getting a vendor approved shouldn’t be a project in itself.
Craft Services Across Los Angeles and Southern California
We’re based in Pasadena and serve TV and film productions throughout LA, the San Fernando Valley, Orange County, the Inland Empire, and the broader Southern California region.
Studio Lots, Location Shoots, and Post-Production
Studio lots, on-location shoots, commercial sets, post-production offices — we’ve been to all of them. We also serve productions statewide for the right projects. If you’re crewing up and need a craft services coffee vendor who shows up prepared, keeps your crew happy, and doesn’t need babysitting, reach out. We’d rather have a quick conversation than make you fill out a long form.
